How can we help?

As a premier Griffin and Locust Grove area orthodontist office, we offer a large variety of treatments dedicated to perfecting your smile. The most common choice for patients of all ages is braces. While deciding to proceed is an easy choice, deciding which type of braces you want may not be as simple.

While most people know about traditional metal braces and Invisalign, you might not have heard of a newer option called Damon Braces.

What are Damon Braces?

Damon Braces are a newer style of braces that are gentle on the teeth, using a special tie-less bracket. Brackets attach directly to the archwire, with no need for elastic ties. They have what is considered to be self-ligating brackets, and are more flexible than traditional braces.

As with other types of braces, there are multiple choices for your Damon braces.

  • Damon Ultima System: The Damon Ultima System is the latest version of the Damon Series and is designed for faster and more precise finishing. It is completely reengineered to virtually eliminate play for precise control of rotation, angulation and torque.
  • Damon Clear Braces: For those more concerned with appearances, the Damon Clear Brackets are made from a completely clear composite to blend in with your teeth. Even better, the Polycrystalline alumina is resistant to staining.

What Are The Benefits?

Damon Braces are the newest technology in braces. Among the advantages:

  • Time - Due to the flexible movement this system allows, teeth are free to move more quickly, decreasing your total treatment time. In addition, fewer visits to the orthodontist will be necessary for adjustments, so you’ll save time both now and in the long run.
  • Comfort - Because Damon braces forgo rigid elastic ties, they can adapt to move more easily. This creates a more gentle experience. They are also smoother and more comfortable in general.
  • Looks - Damon braces are less noticeable than traditional braces, especially if you choose the clear option. Because they are resistant to staining and also make brushing and flossing easier, you will feel confident in the way your smile looks during treatment and beyond.
